Pompeii tour and Vesuvius (with wine tasting)

Explore Pompeii, the largest archaeological site in Europe. Learn about the history of the town and how the Romans lived. The Pompeii tour takes you to the Forum, public bath house, theaters, and elegant private villas buried by volcanic ashes from the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Next you will stop at the local cantina. You will walk through the vineyards and gardens while learning about the wine-making process from grape to bottle. Then you will enjoy a wine tasting with lunch. The wine will be paired with samples of local specialties and traditional dishes. You'll then transfer to Mt. Vesuvius – a still active volcano. You will climb Mt. Vesuvius accompanied by your guide, walk around the crater at 3,900 feet (1,200 meters). From the summit you'll have panoramic views of the picturesque Bay of Napless and its island.
