Roman Food tour
Roman Food tour
Escaping the crowds we will take you on the tour where you can taste dishes cooked according to traditional recipes and visit places where the locals eat. We will start with some street food and snacks called suppli. At our next stop we will sample some thin-crusted Roman style pizza. Pizza al taglio, or by the slice, it’s a great choice for a quick lunch or late-night midnight snack. At a local pizzeria we will explain characteristic varieties, especially the renowned pizza bianca, as well as the common accompaniment to pizza - fritti, deep-fried vegetable snacks. Time for a sit down lunch in local osterria. We will have some antipasto: mixed bruschetta, as a primo local pasta dishes (cacio e pepe or amatriciana) and finally second dish: abbacchio or ossobuco. All these accompanied with local wine. After the feast we will need a digestif in order to move again. After a short walk and finding out even more about Roman cuisine we will stop for some gelato or local pastries & coffee. We can also offer an evening option with the following stops: wine/beer tasting, aperitivo, sit down dinner, gelato.
